Please fix the mode 6 on the DS708 its all in hex format, with no PID information. Totally useless, the AL309 has better mode 6 with test id's and actual values including actual value, min value and max value. Please load the obdII on the maxidas up with good identified mode 6 data. Mode 6 is a technician's best friend and beyond useful.

on the al309 it actually tells you what the mode 6 test is and shows you the data. on the maxidas its all in hex numbers and totally un-useable with out development data from the vehicle manufacturer. al 309 example b1s1 switch time min: .003 max:.100 measured: .090 maxidas example test: 00058575763b value 58975ffff

Hmmmm, you mean MS309 or AL301?

maybe the AL301, I was thinking it was the 309. I have had it for years. little pocket scanner with a 9modes and only 2 buttons with a 16" cable.

I have to agree. The DS708 makes Mode$06 information useless because it is not translated to usable values. I worked on a 2001 Mitsu Montero Sport the other day and checked Mode$06. It was all hexidecimal numbers that mean nothing unless decoded. Many other scanners out there do the math and present usable diagnostic information in Mode$06. Auto Enginuity does Mode$06 better than any other aftermarket tool. it totally translates the hex values to usable values and does it in a color coded chart form, very useful indeed.

I have a new maxi sys that does not read mode 6 data. Shows FFFF and so on as you mentioned previously. I was told before I purchased it, it would display all mode 6 values for all makes and models. Very disappointed . Ready to return it.
